Emma recently became the first woman executive of the Solomon Islands Inland Revenue Division (IRD), when she assumed position as Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Operations. Her achievement builds on previous senior roles that she has held at IRD and the Bank of the South Pacific.
Emma would like to advocate for the Solomon Islands public sector to adopt a more holistic approach to human resource management. She is committed to forging alliances with other professional women and believes that by more women attaining decision-making positions, national policies and government decisions will become fair to all citizens. Emma is committed to finding ways to ensure that women's voices are heard and more women within the public service are empowered and are able to take on decision-making positions.

Lisa is an experienced public sector practitioner, specialising in governance, reform, and strategic human resource management. She holds an MBA from the Australia Institute of Business and is a long-term member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI). She has over 13 years of experience in Australia, Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste, and has worked closely with public sector agencies in the areas of human resource management, public finance management, accountability and leadership.
While in the Solomon Islands for ten years, Lisa established the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands Women's Network, contributed to the development of a Gender and Social Inclusion Policy for the national public service, and supported the establishment of a Women in IT group. She speaks and understands Solomon Islands Pijin.
