The process

All Australian women are eligible to be considered as a Women's Leadership Initiative mentor.

Occupation, seniority, location, Pacific experience, and previous leadership / mentoring experience are not definitive requirements, but will be considered during the matching process.

Enthusiasm, commitment and availability to work with your mentee for approximately one hour per month is equally important.

Mentoring pairs are matched based on shared interests, fields of study, leadership goals and stages of a participant's leadership journey.

Mentor matching takes place as participants are selected for the following year's Leadership & Mentoring program and once a close alignment in interests and background is identified.

The next round of mentor matching will commence in October 2020, for the 2021 program starting February 2021.

In some circumstances, potential mentors may be approached about a possible match at other times of the year.

Mentor Expressions of Interest are welcomed throughout the year.
